Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Last night was wonderful and a fun time was had by all. My sister and her Fiancé came down from Atlanta. We all went out to dinner. After dinner we stopped by and dropped off Tyler and Amber. Once we arrived in our neighborhood, Trick or Treater’s were all ready out and about. W spent so much time around the neighborhood, we didn’t even have time to give out candy. Once we got back to our house, Chris’ parents arrived. They couldn’t wait to see Adicyn in her kitty cat costume. She was the cutest kitty around.

It was great to see my sister. They were able to come and pick up our old stove. We bought a new one for the house. We knew that would help when we start to list the house. It even has a really nice convection oven. It’s an LG, very nice! We have spent this entire weekend cleaning and organizing the house. We removed all of the blinds, took them outside, cleaned them really well and brought them back inside. They look so great now. Anything to help with the sale of the house.

Today, we will probably grab a bite to eat, then get back to fall cleaning. The flower beds need new pine straw. They are looking pretty bad. L
As far as the outside goes, that’s about it. We will pressure wash the exterior, driveway , sidewalks and mailbox, the day before we place it on the market.

Getting there...

We are getting the house ready for the Market. Chris is tying up some loose ends with his credit. He needed to open a new line of credit for the mortgage company, so, he opened one at a local furniture store. He also has paid down his credit card 48% like the mortgage company has asked. He even opened a second checking and savings account at another bank today. Sun Trust has an account for RAFB employees only , that has some really great perks. The savings account has lots of bonuses attached to it. He set up for an alootment to be drafted directly to it from his checking account on the first of every month. All we need to do now is sell our house.   Yesterday took off from work at 10 am, I met Chris’ parents for lunch at Cheddar’s. (my treat), then Amber and I did a lot of shopping, all over Warner Robins! Today I had a full day of work.   Tomorrow, I will work until 2:30, then I will meet my friend Cindy to work on my tan, then my nails. We have a double date planned with my friend Cheryl and Chris’ friend, Eric. Cheryl and Eric will be meeting for the first time. Hopefully they will hit it off. My friend Jessica will be picking Addy up from school and keeping her the weekend , while we go to the mountain’s. We are very excited for some “alone time”. We love traveling. I’m not quite sure where we are going for our date night tomorrow night. Maybe Zen, I love that place! We will have to wait and see. The guys are letting us girls choose. I will fill you in on all of the details later…..Getting there…..We are getting the house ready for the Market. Chris is tying up some loose ends with his credit. The House!

Amber , Tyler & Fayth

The weekend was over too soon. We ended up not going to the Mossy Creek Festival. I cleaned house most of the day. We went out for lunch at El Bronco, then we resumed house hunting. Wow, there is like nothing available in Southfield for less than 390k. We have been preapproved for 350k. However we know our comfortability is not over 275k. Our problem that we are running into are the school zones. We decided on the home at Heathwood . We love it, the kids love it. It's perfect! It is almost 4,000 sq. ft and it has a
H-U-G-E master suite with a wonderful bathroom and a closet as big as one of the bedroom's in our current home. The house has a gourmet kitchen with tons of space and sits in a cul-de-sac with one other home on the golf course! Now, we just have to get our home sold!

Sunday plans.

Well it's Sunday. This means back to work tomorrow. It's okay with me because, Wednesday, I'll be off at 10am, and off to stuff by myself. (Until 3 that is, then Chris will be home and he will have something else in mind). Yesterday Chris' dad came over, it was his birthday. I thought about his birthday all week, and didn't think that I would forget , but I did. He reminded me, lol. I told him that I would take he and Masako out for lunch Wednesday if they decide not to go to Savannah on that day. We also washed the Mustang, and detailed the engine and interior, our neighbor Sean came over for most of the day too. He and Chris went to Summit together on Friday. Sean's a great guy, he's a single 26 year old Marine, whom works on base. He has a lot going for him, he attends church services regularly, owns his own home, he would be a wonderful catch ladies!

Today's plan is, first, directly after this blog, I'm running. I already have my workout attire on. I awoke with back pain this morning and nothing cures it like a good run. We also plan to meet the Realtor at Heathwood place today for another viewing. I will be placing more boxes into the attic today, making a Target run and taking the kids to the Mossy Creek Festival, and meeting a some people that I sold some stuff to online today too. Busy day ahead, I hope it doesn't fly by!

Saturday's Agenda:

Plan for today… Well, sleeping in was in the cards for me today. Adicyn made sure of that. She awoke at 0540 this am! Maybe she will take a mid morning nap. I am doing laundry right now. While that’s in, I will be cleaning  and organizing drawers , cabinets and the pantry in the kitchen. From past experience with selling homes, I know that buyers will look through and open up anything and everything! I have lots to move up into the attic today. I sorted through all of Adicyn’s clothes last weekend and boxed up every item that she can’t wear. I plan to have a “ Moving In Sale” at our new home. I have been purging many items. I posted a few items online this am. Starting at the end of October . Chris will probably wash and clean interior of our vehicles today. I’m pretty sure that’s just about his entire agenda for the day, lol.  We also have family coming over for an early dinner late in the afternoon. I will be very busy cooking later.

I will have the help of a housekeeper. I can’t wait, it’s going to be so nice! I posted an ad on a local website and received so many people wanting to come and clean my house! So I will be interviewing for the job on Wednesday. I am taking off at 10 am that day. That’s payday for me. I plan to go shopping, get my manicure & Pedicure and pay bills. Well, as far as the bills are concerned, they are all ready in my web bill pay with my bank.

Maybe I can fit in a workout on the Wii, I love the game “ Just Dance”,  It’s so much fun!

Real Estate Freeze..

There is a current real estate freeze. The market is saturated with foreclosures, and per current news, many of these foreclosures were executed illegaly. At this time, there is an ongoing investigation across all 50 states causing the foreclosed marketed homes to be unavailable. So ,with this being said, this is the best time to list our home. My broker thinks it will sell quickly, especially now that we won't have the competition of  the
" foreclosed priced homes." Forecloed homes are usually priced 30%-50% below curretn market value
(in some areas). So this weekend I will be finsihing up a few things, choosing which housekeeper to hire and listing the house!

Working 0800-1800....

Vineville Internal Medicine and Spa, this is where I spend most of my time....
I have decided that there are not enough hours in a day. I work from 0800-1800 with a very short 30 minute lunch break. I just don't have any free time. My only "free time" is on the weekend and I spend most weekends catching up with chores from the week before. Laundry, floors, bathrooms and such. I am really thinking about hiring a housekeeper. At least someone to just come in once weekly , just to clean the bathrooms, floors, baseboards and windows. These are the most time consuming for me. I currently have a lawn service that I pay $45.00 weekly. Now that the weather has changed I won't need them as often. Maybe I can use the money that I normally pay them and hire a housekeeper. My only concern is finding someone whom is trustworthy. I know someone that owns a large plumbing company here in Warner Robins and was robbed blind by a housekeeper. She took Jewelry, clothing and anything of value that had previously belonged to his deceased wife. There are certainly some cruel people in the world. However,
I know that we are going to have to make sure that the house remains spotless on a daily basis as it will be on the market. I have been cleaning, organizing and redecorating as to get the house 100% ready for the market. It is certainly a work in progress. I have decided to pack all summer and spring items and place them in the attic. We won't be needing them any longer at this house. Hopefilly this house will be sold before the Summer and we will be in our new home.

This, I am so excited about. Our new home is what keeps me pushing to work these long hours. I think about the move everyday on my way to work to get my self amped up for the day to help me to have a positive outlook fo rthe day ahead. I try to stay positive most of the time here, it's just a long day everyday. Though,  I do work with a great group of people. We have our home search narrowed down to two.  One in Statham's and the other home is in Bear Branch Estates. The better value is the home in Statham's, it's 5 years old, all brick with 3900+ sq. ft and on .74 acre. The other home is 3400+ sq. ft, all brick on almost 2 wooded acres and costs $45-50k more than the other. Whichever is meant to be, will be. Like Chris and I have discussed...we will live where God wants us to live and rase our children.

Heathwood Place in Statham's Landing Community

We now have a second prospective home. This home is located in Statham's Landing. The school district is Bonaire Elementary and that's where I want Adicyn to start Pre-K. Tyler, Amber and Trey's grandparent's live there too, so they would already love it!I really want them as close as possible to family and friends.  I have friends there already, my friend Joyce lives on Statham's Way  -just the next street over. I would already have a friend to walk/run with. We used to work together in the ER, but now she works at that pain clinic at HHC. We have had a hard time keeping up with each other except on facebook. The neighborhood is large, and that is the only negative. It would take a few minutes to get to the home, once I have entered the neighborhood. Another positive is...I already have a club membership there, with the pool, clubhouse, golf and tennis. I would definitely have to invest in a golf cart. The house is nearly 4,000 Sq. Ft with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, Formal Dining Room (I would have to paint this room right away, lol ), Formal Living area/Library, Huge laundry area, Hardwood Floors, a beautiful kitchen with granite countertops and stainless appliances and a .74 acre lot. The lot is smaller than our First prospective house, but the house is bigger by 500 Sq. ft and cheaper by 47k. which will lower the monthly payment by around $300.00 per month. The great thing is, the current interest rate. The current rate is remaining stagnant around 4.15 and 4.25%. I hope that it stays that way for at least four more months. This should give us enough time to sell our house on Margeson Drive. Great for us, we did just have a Mayberry house sale for 214,000 two weeks ago. Wish us Luck!

Finally my Master Bedroom nearly complete!

I have worked so hard from the moment that I came home from work and picking up Adicyn. I have cleaned my butt off in our master bedroom. Chris cleaned the shower in the master bath and the windows in the bedroom, bathroom and closet. I am grateful, because I hate scrubbing the shower and windows, also are not one of my favorite chores. I organized and cleaned out so much stuff. We sold our desk recently so I had quite a few books and binders and office supplies in boxes, They are all in the attic now, except for what is needed often at hand. I will probably post another 'Curb Alert" tomorrow on craigslist. That worked out great last weekend whenever I cleaned out the garage. We are getting the house ready for the market. We want it to debut as perfectly as possible! Well, I have more to complete, so back up into the attic I go :)

It’s time for the Georgia National Fair. I am so ready for it! I love this weather, and the fair is here. Today is the opening day, I should take off and go, lol. No, not really. I have to work and make money. Once I work today…Friday will be all overtime, and I will try again next week. Michael is taking the kids tonight, his dad and sisters and brother and all of their kids are all going tonight  I cleaned out the garage over the weekend and there was so much stuff just not being used , so many things that we didn’t need. I put it all by the street and placed a “Curb Alert” ad on Craigslist.  In no time at all, it was all gone! There were clothes, dishes a new potty that I just bought at Target (Addy likes the big girl potty), a bed frame, bed risers, scrubs, vinyl siding, wood, just so much. It was so pleasing to just clean it all out. I have been bringing boxes home all week from work, so that I can pack up summer clothes, swimming pool and beach stuff. I have to minimize everything inside and keep it that way until the house sales. I sold a lot of furniture and replaced some of it already. I bought a new Counter Height Dining table with six chairs, also new window treatments from another interior decorator. I bought these to leave in the house. The window treatments are not really my style, but they look great in the dining room and match the table and décor wonderfully. I can’t wait it put a For Sale sign out front. I have my Realtors narrowed down to two. They are both great friends of mine, so it’s kind of hard to choose. Karen Kurzdorfer, I have known for so long and she sold all of our spec homes and our personal home, not to mention -her office is just down the street. Ethan Hutten is not too far away and he is very aggressive with real estate. Karen is a broker so that works more in my favor. Also, she has listed homes for Michael and I , and they sold very quickly. She sold our spec homes in Eagles Bluff and Crystal Ridge, and our personal home at 80 Mallard Pointe in Kathleen.  So, I guess I’m leaning more toward Karen. We will see. I plan to list it around November so that we can have it sold by March. The market is doing great in most areas right now, but it’s outstanding in our area. Homes sell fast over here. We are so convenient to shopping, banking, salons, restaurants, the Interstate and the nearby schools.

Moving right along....

Moving right along, great news from Anne. My mortgage specialist. We are so ready to move along. Our prospective new house is still available, we are so incredibly excited! Our new home is bank owned by a local credit union, and they are not easy to bargain with, I’m just thinking with a house worth over 300k, it has to be perfect, as I never plan to move again. It seems more rural, Even though, it’s just like 2 miles from the city limits. It has 2 acres of land, with lots of hardwoods. I want to add some hardscapes along the back deck, with a walkway that extends to the driveway. Chris wants to add a detached garage, at the back of the lot, for automotive stuff. I have no problem with that. I would like to see my garage free from roll-a-ways and such. Most of the interior is perfect, there
are just a few colors that I would change. (Sorry Angie, I know that you chose them).

The previous owners are friends of mine, they are divorced and have both moved on. I can’t wait for double the sq. ft.  It is a little sad to know that either way, this will be our last thanksgiving and Christmas in our current home, but very exciting to know that another wonderful family will think that this house is perfect for them. We have worked so hard to get to where we both are, and we are very ready to embrace our future and the future of our children with open arms. We are very excited to create new memories in a new home. I have one lasting memory here at this house….The memory of my dad coming over and hanging out before he passed. The great thing is- it’s a memory and will always stay with me, only the material part of it will be gone.

Other than the move, the other new thing is my job. I am making more than I ever have before, and I am working towards paying for our new home and med school. Maybe once we get settled in we will know exactly how much we have to put towards my education, as I do not want to take out student loans. I just paid mine in full March of 2007. I have learned first hand how expensive an education can be, especially when obtained from a private college such as Wesleyan! Lol, but it was worth every penny. We will just have to see…..
